How did this patient hear about Jupiter Rehabilitation? Return patient from two years prior

Details of experience:
Mr. Runnels came to us from Jupiter Medical Center on May 31st, 2021. He says it was an easy decision to choose Jupiter Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center because it is just down the road from his home and wife, and he knew he would be in good hands for his rehabilitation journey. Robert (Bob) had been with us two years before this stay and said that the success he had with his prior stay made it an easy decision. He was admitted to us s/p quad repair from a fall he sustained at home, leaning over to pick up a paint can that he had dropped trying to throw away. Bob joked that had he heeded his doctor’s orders after his first stint at Jupiter Rehab, he probably would not have ended up with us again.

Upon admission, Bob was unable to perform any mobility independently, including his activities of daily living (ADLs). He received PT/OT 5x’s a week with great motivation and positivity. The positivity he carried with him throughout the facility, always being able to put a smile on everyone’s face. His highlight of being with us at Jupiter Rehab was his roommate. He and his roommate gained a special rapport laughing, bantering, and joking with each other and the staff.

Upon discharge, Bob returned home with his wife and was able to perform all his mobility and ADLs with supervision. He is looking forward to spending time with his wife, going out to eat with friends, and spending time out in the yard tinkering with things.

We will miss having the positive and uplifting presence of Mr. Runnels, but we wish him the best and hope to never see him here again at Jupiter Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center!
