We are proud to share that Justin Lavian, Director of Concierge Services for Jupiter Rehabilitation and Healthcare Centers, has been chosen as the second 2017-2018 Professional of the Quarter!

Justin Lavian has been working in the healthcare and customer service field for about 1 year, beginning as an intern at Jupiter Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in the AIT program, then transferring to the Director of Concierge Services. “I wanted to join the concierge team, I love assisting the team in any way,” Lavian shared. “I have been the Concierge Director for about 5 months; it is a great opportunity, the next stepping stone and learning tool for myself.”

Lavian is a revered member of the team, and his patients and residents mean so much to him, expressing that one of the best parts of his position is forming relationships with his residents. Also, he shared that the best part of his day is when a resident tells him that they’re happy with their stay, and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else; this is the team goal too.

“My fondest memory as the Director of Concierge Services so far is my interaction with one of our residents who is 104 years old. She was sick for a while and was in her room. After several weeks, she came out of her room and I enthusiastically greeted her. We always exchanged smiles when we see each other (she does not talk). One day, she stops me, and starts talking! I was very surprised and excited to hear her talk. I took her to see the Christmas tree in our dining room. By that time, activities started and I asked her if she would like to go, to which she agreed. She was happy that she saw the Christmas decorations together.”

Lavian was honored to be named Professional of the Quarter, expressing, “I am on cloud 9; I’m a little shy about the nomination, the team here is great, and really listens and is hands on. I’m very thankful, and to me, this nomination for professional of the year gives me motivation to keep growing and keep my standards high. I like to share special moments with my residents; they become family.”

Lavian is the second of four professional of the quarters, who will then be in the running for the 2018 CareRite Centers Professional of the Year.
